Tajpur Port  can attract investment worth more than Rs 1lakh crore .

Tajpur Port a dream project of Bengal Chief Minister ,Mamata Banerjee.

West Bengal -The Land of Unlimited Potential.

●USD 3.3 billion Tajpur port has  potential to mobilise investments worth $15 billion by 2030  and it can generate as many as 200,000 direct- indirect jobs.

Tajpur Port one of the biggest upcoming projects in West Bengal. The Bengal Government has decided to go ahead and construct the deep sea PORT in TAJPUR in Purba Medinipur district all by itself, estimated cost of this project around Rs 25,000 Crore.

It will be one of Biggest project in Bengal history....the project can attract over 1lakhth cr investment in West Bengal, in infrastructure, transport, logistics, ware house, cold chain,  LNG,Aviation , Shipping Industry & Real estate etc.The project can generate 2 lakh direct and indirect job.

Infrastructure

The West Bengal govt has started the process of constructing Greenfield port at tajpur. The sea port will be built on over 1000 acre .The Tajpur Port is expected to offer 16-18 metre draft & 350 meter wide channel.

The port will have 6 berths in first phase and 9 more in the next phase. The dip sea port will be covered by six lane road and rail line. The project can handle approx 100 million tonnes of cargo annually.

Strategic location

The port will be the gateway to trade in the State ofWB,Assam,Tripura,Meghalaya,Mizaram,Jharkhand & Chattrishgar etc and three countries  Nepal,Bangladesh  and Bhutan.

I think the port Will be a main gateway to North-East India .....also think this single project can attach investment worth over  $15 billion or over one lakh cr- in next few years.

Economic Feasibility

A report by domestic rating agency Smera Rating says the critical location of West Bengal makes it the potential business hub of a USD 3 trillion regional  economy by 2035, when the National GDP is likely to touch USD 11.34 trillion.

But I think  India has  huge potential, GDP likely to touch USD 10 trillion by 2032 & Bengal economy  likely to USD 1.5 trillion by 2032.

Also think, eastern region lead by West Bengal expected to contribute at least 25% of the country’s GDP by 2032. That's mean eastern regional economy likely to USD 2.5 trillion by 2032.

I think Tajpur can expect big ticket investment around $15 billion  from port-based coastal Industries such as- Refinery,Chemical,Rubber,LNG,Logistics, shipping Industry,Solar-wind power, steel,Hotel,Real estate & infrastructure etc.

Job opportunity-Tajpur port has potential to generate over 2 lakh direct-indirect jobs.

I think Tajpur deep sea port will be game changer, will improve regional logistics and export efficiency of the state. It would help West Bengal to become a manufacturing hub.

The Infrastructure Revolution under the Modi Government.

The Infrastructure Revolution under The Modi Government.

Infrastructure development has been utmost priority of Modi govt.we know last 7 years modi government  has taken several big  project to boost infrastructure. Modi govt allocated more than Rs 50 lakh crore ($700 billion) on  high way construction ,railway line electrification, pipe water supply ,housing development, Green energy, irrigation,New sea port etc.

We know on 15 August '21,Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced ‘PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan’ worth Rs 100 lakh crore($1.4 trillion) which will help in employment opportunities and holistic infrastructure.

Infrastructure development under 7 years of Modi Govt.

✔National Highway more than double ( 2014-21)-
Total NH constructed under 7 Years  of Modi govt. 59,727 km & total NH under 10 years of UPA was 25,727  km.

✔Railway line electrified near 5 times  (2014-21)-
Under 7 yr of modi govt Railway line electrified  18065 km and under  UPA govt (2008-14 ) it was just 3,835 km.

Rural Piped Water Supply increases
Under Modi  42.5% rural households  have pipe water ,total  number become  8 cr or 80mn..
10 years of UPA govt, Rural piped water connection was just  13% ,total number of connection  was 1.78 cr (17.8 mn).

Renewal energy installations jumped
Under 7 yrs of Modi govt,2014-May'21 ,Solar installations jumped over 13 times from 3 MW to 41 MW .
2014-May'21 , wind energy capacity increased 2times from 21GW to 41GW.

Metro Rail infrastructure
Before Modi only 5 cities had metro services and total metro line 248 km.
Under 7 yr of  Modi govt, 18 cities have metro rail service and metro line 717 km.

Affordable housing for all

We know Modi govt announced Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, In June 2015 main aims of this yojana to provide affordable housing for all by 2022.

Through this scheme, the government aims to subsidise the construction of 2.95 crore rural houses and 1.2 urban houses by 2022.

Above  infrastructure programme will help boost productivity of industries and boost the economy ......I think India will be $5-trillion economy  by 2025 & $10 trillion by 2032.

India will 3rd largest Economy with GDP USD 12 trillion by 2030.

India will  3rd Largest Economy with GDP  USD 12 trillion by 2030.

India will  world's Fastest Growing Economy in coming Decade.

India will  3rd largest economy with  USD 12 trillion by 2030.

India has the potential to  achieve 10-12% growth per annum, but it's needs major reforms in Agriculture sector (needs supply side reforms and focus on demand side ).

India has achieved only 200% growth between 2000-15. (Rs 46 lakh crore  to Rs 137 lakh crore).

I think 2015-2030 will be more productive, india has the potential  to achieve more than 520% growth(Rs 850 lakh cr), under the dynamic Leadership of Modi govt...  economy can touch  $12 trillion (2030) from $2.1 trillion (2015), 6 fold jump ..per capita income can increase $10,000 from $ 2000.

Firmly believe that, contribution of India to world economy can touch 3% (2017) to 15-20% (2030).Also believe ,India's  contribution to global growth could rise 30-35%.

8 states out of 29 such as   Maharashtra,TN ,AP,karnataka,UP,Gujarat,Odisha  and WB can add  $8 Trillion by. 2030 out of $12 trillion..current  contributions more than $1.6 trillion out of $2.7 trillion.

I think India will 3rd largest economy by 2027,overtaking the UK in 2023,Germany in 2025 and Japan in 2027.I think india's GDP could reach USD 12 trillion by 2030......India can over take  China by 2040.

The $80 billion and 3000 km long China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) one of the most ambitious Infrastructure development project of China's Belt and Road, was announced to great fanfare in 2015.
But CPEC is a loss making exercise by China due to under utilization & could potentially cause more harm than good.

The Biggest administrative steps of Modi-govt -Clean water in all 19 crore rural homes by 2024

The Biggest administrative steps of Modi Govt -

Clean water in all 19 crore  rural homes by 2024.

One of the Biggest Social Welfare Scheme  in the World.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) on 15th August 2019, with the aim to provide tap water supply to 19 cr (190 million ) rural home by 2024 on regular and long-term basis to every rural household and public institution, viz. GP building, School, Anganwadi centre, Health centre, wellness centres, etc.

Fund Allocation
The total estimated cost of Jal Jeevan Mission is Rs 3.6 lakh crore ($50 billion) over 2019 -2024. In Budget 2021-22, it has been allocated Rs 50,011 crore ($7billion), which is a 123% annual increase over the actual expenditure in 2019-20.

                                        JJM  Empowers India's Rural Women
We know that 75% of Indian households do not have drinking water on premise and about 84% rural households do not have piped water access.
The recent time use survey 2019 shows that indian women spend on an average up to 55 minutes daily to fetch water for household.

Jal Jeevan Mission will improve health outcomes, increase productivity, particularly for women who often travel long distances to get Potable water and Inevitably contribute to economic grow.

Total Connections So Far

Since launch (15 Aug 2019) of Jal Jeevan Mission, over 4 Crore (40 million) rural homes provided with tap water connections......and tap water supply to19 cr home by 2024 will possible under Modi administration.

I think JJM most socially inclusive programmes after independence ......this programme will boost the rural economy & standard of living.

savings interest rates should be based on yearly income.

I think savings interest rates should be based on  yearly income......interest rate should be 12% for the income level upto Rs 100K per annum.....11% upto income  Rs300k....10% upto income 500k per annum.

It will help to tackle chit fund schemes, ponzi & Pyramid  schemes

....estimated Ponzi funds in India around Rs10 lakh cr & around 15 crore poor people have lost their hard earned money.

unfortunately in the last few years india's overall household saving, the biggest contributor towards economy, has seen a sharp drop.......it fell from 34% to 17%...... incoming years it may be 10%.

PM Awaas Yojana most successful & one of the world's largest housing scheme for the poor.

Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana most successful & one of the world's largest housing scheme for the poor.

✔One of the Biggest Pro-poor policy after Independence. ✔One of the biggest scheme after Independence ...one of the biggest example of Good Governance.

Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana was launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modiji ,in June 2015 to fulfill the housing needs of rural and urban poor.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) aims to fuel the concept of ‘housing for all’.This scheme proposes to build more than 2 crore/20 million  houses by 2022 for the urban and rural population of India. The policy is meant to promote affordable housing for those belonging to economically weaker sections of society and low-income groups.

The project requirement of around 50 million tonnes of steel and 100 million tonnes of cement to construct 2 crore houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by 2022.

So, we can expect big investment in steel and cement industry. We can expect 5-6 large scale steel plants , average capacity 10 mtpa  and 20-25 large scale cement plants average capacit 3-4mtpa by 2022.

Modi govt also announced 100 smart city project,100 airport, Raiway infrastructure,Bharat mala, Sagar mala project and 110 lakh crore /$1.5 trillion (NIP) infrastructure investment plan over  the next 5yrs.

We can expect big investment from SAIL,Tata steel,JSW,Shyam steel ,Electrosteel Steel ,Ambujacement, ACC, Jindal cement,Ramco,UltraTech Cement,Dalmia Bharat,Shree cement etc.

Employment opportunities under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana

Approx 3.65 crore/36.5 million  jobs would be generated in the construction of houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the country...... so far, 1.65 crore/16.5 million  jobs have already been generated under the PMAY(U).

Finally this project will be one of the landmark scheme  by modi govt. This project can boost social inclusion and economic growth.

India has potential more than Rs 32 lakh crore gross tax revenue FY22.

The Union Budget 2021-22 targets gross tax revenue of Rs 22.17 lakh cr in FY22........but I think India has potential more than Rs 32 lakh crore gross tax revenue FY22.

We know India's  Tax-GDP ratio only 9.8%,it is  lower than its potential. India’s Tax - GDP ratio low compared to other developed - developing countries or emerging markets.

India’s Tax - GDP ratio 9.8% should be 15% .....while Germany 38%, USA-china 18% ,Russia- Malaysia-vietnam 17%,Brazil 16%,Pakistan 15%, Sri Lanka 13% and Nepal 21%.

China economy is a sinking ship whose Captain is continuously failing to acknowledge this fact.

China economy is a sinking ship whose Captain is continuously failing to acknowledge this fact.

✔China  national debt goes up.

✔China economy is a sinking ship.

China is a developing country, 2nd largest economy in the world, but per capita debt goes up.

china per capita debt in 2019 was $5611 ,in 2009 it was $219.....that imply per capital debt increased 25times between 2009-19.

At the same period 2009-19 per capita Income increased 11times, from $959 to $10000.

Chinese policy makers  wants to the world’s largest economy in next 15 years.

2020-2035 China wants to $30 trillion economy from $15 trillion ....I think this is not possible.

Chinese economy is sinking ship......The Institute of International Finance (IIF) estimated that China’s total domestic debt  335% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2020.....almost 15% of global total.

I think China's  debt to gdp ratio up due to uneconomic expenditure. If it continue, China debt to gdp ratio  could reach 500% in next  five years....i think  China's economy needs institutional reform.

Jal Marg Vikash Project

PM's JAL MARG VIKASH Project Drawing Global attention

Jal Marg Vikash project will help to Save Logistics cost  Rs 24 Lakh crore  by 2024 ,when GDP will 350 Lakh cr ($5 trillion)

This project will help india to reduce logistics cost  to  6- 7%  by 2024  from current level 14- 15%  of GDP.India could save approx Rs24 trillion per annum.

●India Rank 44 in World Bank logistics index -2018,india's logistics cost higher 14% than global average 6%.

●Germany Rank -1,Japan -5,UK -9, USA -14,France-16 and China -26.

●waterways transport in Germany 20%, china 10%,USA 9%,European countries 8%, and india less than one percent,only 0.5%.

Logistics sector plays a vital role in economic growth. We know ✔#Freight Transprotation in india  #67% by Road🚛, 28% by Railways🚆,4.5% by air ✈️and costal shipping 🛳️and ⬇️0.5%  by  waterways🚤. And ✔ Transprotation  Cost -Rs 2.70 per tonnes per  km through Road, Rs 1.5 per km through Railways & 25 Paisa through Inland Waterways.

we know india's logistics costs higher than global average....Inefficiencies in the logistics chain india Losses approx Rs 12 lakh crore per year.

Logistics costs in India are approximately $380 billion per annum(Rs 26 Lakh cr),which account for 14% of GDP. This is higher than the global average of 6 % ,as the Indian logistics sector is largely unorganised and inefficient compared with its global counterparts.

waterways transport playing a very Crucial role in developed countries.waterways transport in ,Germany 23%,china 12%,USA 10%,European countries 9% and india only 0.5%.....though India is a land of rivers.... India has nearly 17000 km of navigable waterway.

Present govt has taken ✔Jal Marg Vikash project ,india's first multi-model terminal on inland waterways, aims at developing the stretch of the river between varanasi and Haldia for navigation of large vessels weight up to 1500-2000 tonnes(equivalent to 115  two axle truck , capacity 18 tonnes).

This project will contribute in bringing down the logistics cost in the country and will provide an alternative mode of transport which will be environment friendly and cost  effective.

✔This project will help india to reduce logistics cost  5-6% from 14% by 2024.India could save Rs 24 trillion per annum by 2024.

Gujarat Growth Model-Gujarat per capita income could reach $ 20000 by 2030.

✔Gujarat Growth Model-Gujarat per capita income could reach $ 20000 by 2030.

✔Gujarat Growth Model-Gujarat has received total  $1.5 trillion investment proposals 2003-2020.

Gujarat Growth Model and industrial policy.

We know Gujarat was most backward state,in year 2000-2001,Gujarat  per capita income was just USD 175 ,below the national average USD 240.

Now Gujarat per capita income USD 3000 ,higher than the national average USD 2000.Gujarat and development have become synonymous over the last 2 decades.

Gujarat new industrial policy

We know Vibrant Gujarat  Summits were initiated by Narendra Modi in 2003 when he was chief minister to attract investment to the state. Now Gujarat become a preferred investment destination within india....If all proposed investments 2003-20 were to be combined, the state has witnessed an investment commitment of over $1.5 trillion or Rs 100 lakh cr. The state has received multi billion dollar investment proposals from-Car industry, Textile, Steel, chemical, cement, tiles, fertiliser, petrochemical, vegetable oil,gems-jewelry, infrastructure development, mechinery and solar -wind power etc

Now state  has launched a new industrial policy , Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020 to attract more investment.

✅1) Gujarat translates industrial policy into 8 foreign languages to attract FDI.

The state government has translated the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020 into eight foreign languages, including English, in an attempt to reach out to foreign companies across the globe.

The policy published in August 2020 has been translated to German, Dutch, Spanish, French, Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean and English.....one of the biggest incentives of Gujarat govt to attract foreign investors.

Gujarat industrial policy2020  also translated in to 8 regional languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi.

✅ 2) April- September 2020 of FY 2020-21, Gujarat recorded highest FDI in the country of $16 billion or Rs 1.19 lakh crore. The FDI of the State has jump despite several global impact of Covid19. The state has accounted for 53% of the total FDI investment received that of the entire country.

✅ 3) Gujarat govt announce Special Incentives to companies planning to relocate from other countries.....specially from China.

✅Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity 12,000 MW...now has set a target of producing 30,000 MW of green energy by 2022.

Gujarat government expected $45billion or Rs 3 lakh crore investment in  three years in solar and wind power generation projects.

I think Gujarat per capita income could reach $20000 from $ 3000 in next 10 years.

REVOLUTIONARY STEP : Modi Govt is planning to setup a National  Infrastructure Bank.

Budget 2021-22, Modi govt is planning to setup a new Development finance institutions(DFI) called  -the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development ( NaBID) through the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development ( NaBFID) bill 2011.
The main aim to reduce funding gaps  in infrastructure. ....we know most of the infrastructure projects were suffering due to lack of funds...we  also know indian Banks ar unable to provide long term finance to infrastructure projects.....the new infrastructure bank  can solve this problem.....The new bank can improve Economic and Social outcomes in India.

The bank  will be set up on a capital base of $2.8 billion or Rs 20,000 crore and will have a lending target of $70 billion or Rs 5 lakh crore in three years.
The new  Development finance institution will boost infrastructure and housing  projects in india...The New Development Finance institution will  be an extraordinary useful tool for overall Macroeconomic Development.......it can generate millions of new jobs.

We know infrastructure development one of the top priority of modi govt.
We know India needs to spends $3.5 trillion on infrastructure development from 2021-30.

We also  know Modi govt has unveiled USD 1.5 trillion or Rs 111 trillion mega infrastructure investment plan for the next 5yrs (2019-24).....the project name Natonal Infrastructure  Pipeline ( NIP ),near 7000 Projects under Rs 111 lakh cr / $1.5 trillion  NIP.

(1)Power project will account $340 billion or Rs 24 trillion.
(2)Road projects will account $290 billion or Rs20 trillion
(3)Rs14 trillion  or $190 billion would be for Railway projects.
(4) Urban infrastructure $230 billion or Rs 16 trillion
(5)Rural infrastructure  $115 billion or  Rs 8 trillion
(6)Irrigation Rs 8 trillion.

I think
The NIP  and National  infrastructure bank both will help India to become a $ 5 trillion Economy by 2024.

Tejas will help domestic defence production  $50 billion by 2025.Tejas will help India emerge as a key defence exporter due to its relatively low price......and india's defence export could reach $10 billion by 2025.

We know 2015-20 defence export grew from $290million/ 2000cr to $1.3 billion /9000cr. .....The project can  generate millions of new jobs.

Budget 2021-Populist, Balanced and Growth Oriented Budget.

Budget 2021-Populist, Balanced and Growth Oriented Budget

Modi Govt has presented the Union Budget 2021-22 in Parliament on dated 1Feb 2021.

The budget proposes to spend $500 billion /35 lakh Crore in 2021-22 & promised to provide further funds if require.

I think budget 2021-22 one of the growth oriented budget.this budget not only populist but also focus on growth.

The union budget 2021-22 focus on Healthcare, Railways infrastructure,  Highways, Textile and MSMEs sector.

Health allocation up

Health care top priority of modi govt. Health allocation jumped 137% to $32billion/RS 2.23 lakh cr in this budget from $13.5billion/ 94k crore  2020-21 & promised to provide further funds if require.

We know Modi govt has taken several initiatives to boost healthcare, one of them is world large health assurance scheme ,Aushman Bharat Yojana.

The main aim to provide free access to healthcare for 50 crore/500 million   of people in the country, cover  of Rs 5lakh  per family per year.

We know 55 million/5.5 cr Indians were pushed into poverty in a single year because of having to fund their own healthcare and 38 million /3.8 cr of them fell below the poverty line due to spending on medicines alone, a study by three experts from the Public Health Foundation of India has estimated.

Railways infrastructure  budget up

Union Budget 2021-22 allocated $15.9billion  /Rs 1.10 lakh crore to Railways, out of which  $15billion /Rs 1.07 lakh crore will be utilised for capital expenditure for 2021-22 to expand rail infrastructure in India. With this, the railways has now highest ever total plan capex of $30.5 billion / Rs 2,15,058  crore in for FY22.

This budget  is going to be spending on major infrastructure projects of the railways including the construction of new lines, doubling, tripling and electrification, overhauling of the existing signalling and telecommunication system, station redevelopment.

The budget can generate millions of new jobs. .....it can attract FDI in Construction Equipment industry.

Highway Project

Highway construction one of the priority areas of modi govt.2021-22 Budget allocated Rs 1.03 lakh crore for 3500 km of national highway for Tamil Nadu ,Rs 65,000 crore for  1100 km of national highways for Kerala. In West Bengal, Rs 25,000 crore allocated  for 675 km highway works, while in Assam 1,300 km of national highway would be built in the coming three years at a cost of rs 34,000 crore.

These allotment could boost Construction equipment industry, steel, cement industry. ....it can attract FDI . ....it can generate millions of new jobs.

Textile Budget up

7mega textile parks to be established in  three years....to become globally competitive , attract large investments, boost employment generation, and exports.

We know modi Govt has set a target $600 billion textile and apparel export  from current  $40 billion by 2025.

MSMEs budget up

Modi Govt alloted $2.2 billion /Rs15,700 crore for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in the Union Budget 2021-22.....which is  more than double the previous year.

We know MSMEs one of the growth engines of indian economy, contribute 40% of the overall exports,110 millions or 11 cr jobs in india.

I think the budget 2021-22 will help to  fulfill the dream of USD  5 trillion economy by 2024.

Bengal's Per capita Health Budget Below the National Average.

✅ #Bengal's Per capita Health  Budget Below the National Average.

✅#Bengal Health Budget Should be Rs16,000 cr from the current level Rs11,280 cr.

A recent analysis on state finances by the #Reserve Bank of India (RBI) shows that West Bengal spends just Rs 988 per capita on healthcare while the average spend by all states stands at Rs 1,482. (Source- Swarajyamag.com 30 Oct 2020).

I would like to request Hon'ble cm of wb pls increase total Health budget at least Rs 16,000 Crore from the current level RS 11,280cr.

We know  2020-21, West Bengal allocated Rs 11280 crore to health and family welfare for 10 Crore people.

Accroding to business-standard.com<20-May-2020<A comparative analysis of the healthcare investments made by Indian states report-

FY21, UP health allocated  Rs 26266 cr for 20 cr people ,Gujarat allocated 11225 cr for 6.4cr people, Rajasthan 14700cr( population 6.9cr),TN  Rs15773cr(population 7.8cr), Maharashtra Rs 17288(population 11.4cr) and Karnataka Rs 10000cr (population 6.4cr), Kerala Rs 7186cr( population 3.5cr), Haryana Rs 6512(population 2.5cr).

Above fig shows the Bengal health budget very low compared to other state.....West Bengal needs more budget  in healthcare....I think Bengal Health Budget  should be at least Rs16,000 cr from the current level Rs11,280cr.
