Mr.Chandra Shekhar Ghosh,60 yrs. founder and Chairman Managing Director of india’s first generation bank- Bandhan Bank.
who started his journey from a small sweet shop.later he started his first venture named Bandhan Konnagar an NGO in November 2001 with a capital of 2 lakh ($2800 )only and three employees . The NGO provided finance to small and marginal women entrepreneur in areas not assisted by Banks. In 2009 he registered Bandhan as a NBFC. In 2014 RBI granted an approval for banking license to Bandhan.
IN 2015 ,AUG 23 Bandhan bank open with the philosophy of ‘Aapka Bhala, Sabki Bhalai’ with 501 branches, 50 ATMs,HQ - Kolkata.

Currently the bank has 4559 outlets, 2.03 crore (20.3 million) customers, total business Rs 1.35 Lakh crore ($18billion) and a total employee 41,563.
